Backstage News – Vince McMahon’s Reaction To The ‘Styles Clash’

According to sources, Vince McMahon was hesitant to allow AJ Styles to use the Styles Clash in WWE. McMahon was cautious about the move being used because of the broken neck that Yoshi Tatsu suffered after taking it wrong.

The decision to go with the Calf Crusher as Styles’ finisher came after Styles used the Clash to beat Curtis Axel.

Chris Jericho lobbied for the movie to be used in their PPV match and it is believed since it made it in that the Clash is allowed to be used, although the Calf Killer will continue to be Styles’ main finisher.
