According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NJPW has already offered Will Ospreay a regular contract with the company. This came after his outstanding match with KUSHIDA at Invasion Attack. TNA wanted Ospreay prior to him deciding to go to NJPW. NJPW positioned him strongly, aligning him with Kazuchika Okada and his CHAOS faction.
NJPW and WWE both want Ospreay. If he goes with New Japan, he has the advantage that he can still live in the UK and work independents, and then fly in for tours. If he signs with WWE, he has to relocate to Florida. This was the scenario that kept Finn Balor from signing with WWE at first. WWE is offering low deals to sign, but they are WWE and that is a huge goal for some. Guys like Ricochet are making as much if not more than many WWE talents, working NJPW and Independents.
