— The St. Petersburg Times has a story on former WWE performer Gertrude “Luna” Vachon, who was found dead in her Port Richey, Florida home on Friday. The article offers comments from her adopted father, Paul “the Butcher” Vachon, as well as her ex-husband, David Heath, who wrestled as Gangrel.
“She had the kindest heart you ever met,” said Heath. “She was a tremendous survivor.”
After Vachon retired from wrestling, she worked as a tow truck driver. However, adjusting to life without wrestling was difficult as it was all she had ever known.
“It would be hard for anybody to go from that to nothing,” Heath said.
He also said of Vachon on Twitter: “Angelle, you were too good for this world! My forever friend, I’m truly going to miss you! You are a wild flower that should never been picked.”
