Ricochet may be headed to WWE after all. The wrestler, who finished up his commitments to Lucha Underground with the season three tapings, will be taking a WWE offer rather than re-signing with Lucha Underground.
According to sources, Ricochet was offered a big deal by Lucha Underground but will be taking the WWE deal instead. He will be working in New Japan through the end of the year and could appear for WWE next year. While the standard Lucha Underground contract bans talent from working for other televised promotions for six months after the last episode they appear in airs and season three won’t kick off until next summer, it is believed that he may be able to work for WWE sooner than that. It is possible that he would be able to find a loophole through the fact that he wouldn’t go to WWE as a masked wrestler, preventing marketing concerns.
