Daniel Bryan Pokes Fun At The “Universal Championship” Title For RAW

Daniel Bryan’s interview with the Bear Hug It Out podcast to promote tonight’s SmackDown in Nashville, Tennessee didn’t just include the revelation that SmackDown will be making its own women’s championship. In the interview (which you can see a clip of below and listen to in full here), Bryan poked some fun at RAW for its new Universal Championship and pointed out the blue brand is the one with the real title

“It’s great having the only real World Champion on SmackDown,” Bryan said, noting that he’s not against the idea of RAW making a new title since they’re doing the same for the SmackDown women’s division. He said of the new championship, “We are taking our time with it to make sure that we do it right.”

He then made some pointed comments about the Universal Championship that Seth Rollins and Finn Balor will be fighting for at SummerSlam, noting, “We’re making a title that’s even bigger called the Universal title! It’s bigger! You’re the champion of the Galaxy!
