WWE has posted the following update from Dr. Jeffrey Dugas, regarding Finn Balor’s shoulder surgery. While he says the injury was more severe than normal, he did say Balor’s prognosis was good and they expect him to be back at full speed…
“Finn’s injury was pretty severe, more severe than normal. A really high energy injury, it did more damage than a standard shoulder dislocation where you simply tear the labrum. The prognosis is excellent, however. We were able to fix it all and put it back where it came from. I’m anticipating him getting back at full speed.”
Speaking of Finn Balor, he was not originally scheduled for a title program upon his WWE debut. This is similar is Bayley (see our report from yesterday(. Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Balor was originally going to be programmed with Chris Jericho at SummerSlam and after. The two were also scheduled to face off at several live events post-Summerslam. Vince McMahon changed his mind and made the call to go all the way with Balor.
