TNA has filed its official legal response to Billy Corgan’s lawsuit against them. The response was filed this afternoon in Nashville Chancery Court, although those documents are sealed at this time. Twelve pieces of material were submitted to support their arguments from a 2007 article about proving solvency published in The Business Lawyer to previous court precedents.
Corgan’s lawyers will file a redacted version of their lawsuit tomorrow that will prevent portions that would be harmful if it fell into the hands of competitors from being released. That redacted version will be available around 4 PM ET.
Any kind of chances at a settlement are likely to hinge on it happening in the next twenty-four hours in order to prevent Corgan’s allegations against the company from becoming public record. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.
