Booker T announced on Saturday night that he’s planning to run for mayor of Houston in 2020. The WWE Hall of Famer made the reveal on his latest Heated Conversations Podcast on Sports Radio 610, which you can listen to here.
“You heard it, 2020 I’m preparing,” he said. “I’m preparing myself to run for mayor of the city.”
Booker noted that he made the decision after talking with Rhyno about his run for a seat in Michigan’s House of Representatives this year. Appearing on the podcast, Rhyno said to Booker, “You are over qualified for the job. Wrestling not only prepares you for life but it prepares you for positions like that because you feel the emotion from the people you know what they want, you’ve built yourself from where you were to where you’re at now.”
