WWE is currently reported to be targeting women’s promotion SHIMMER for more talent to be in their upcoming Women’s Tournament. Former TNA/Impact stars Jade and Marti Belle are also currently reported to be targets for the tournament, according to PWInsider.
Other international female stars such New Zealander wrestler Evie and Welsh wrestler Nixon Newell, who have signed deals with the WWE, are also expected to be among the 32 women for the tournament.
Besides scouting for more potential stars and talent, WWE is also rumored to be considering delaying the airing of the tournament till after SummerSlam which would push the date of the finale into September. Reason speculated was due to the WWE likely not wanting the event to take away any hype or focus from SummerSlam if it started earlier.
