— Steve N. sent this in: Don’t know if this is a news worthy for you or not but French wrestling legend Rene Ben Chemoul passed away last week at age 85 due to Alzheimer disease. Ben Chemoul, better known as “Wrestling Tiger”, was the son of Albert Ben Chemoul & the cousin of Andre Trigano. Ben Chemoul was made prisoner by the Germans during World War 2 & after the liberation started wrestling facing & meeting the likes of “White Angel” , “Cheri Bibi” , Roger Delaporte , Robert Duranton & “Bethune’s Executionner.”

— The book that Daniel Bryan was holding on RAW last night was American Brutus: John Wilkes Booth and the Lincoln Conspiracies by Michael W. Kauffman.

— Daniel Bryan makes his final independent appearance on October 1st for the Northeast Wrestling event in Waterbury, CT. He will take on Shelton Benjamin. That has the potential to be off the charts good. The card also includes Mickie James vs. Awesome Kong, Tommy Dreamer vs. Ron Zombie, and Carlito vs. Rob Eckos.

— Jim Ross is visiting down in FCW this week. Of course, he’ll be scouting some new talents.
