Brie Bella Says She Knows “For a Fact” That Daniel Bryan Will Wrestle Again

The Bella Twins were interviewed on an episode of the From the Top Rope podcast and Brie Bella said that she knows “for a fact” that her husband Daniel Bryan will eventually return to the ring.

She mentioned that Daniel Bryan has been seeking out treatments ever since he was forced to retire two years ago due to complications from multiple concussions, including seizures and a brain lesion.

Brie: “From that moment, which was pretty much two years ago, he has been doing every kind of testing to every kind of experiment you can imagine for the brain. And he actually found one, it’s this oxygen hyperbaric chamber or something.”

She is apparently referring to “Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy”, which claims on its website:

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is the use of high pressure oxygen as a drug to treat basic pathophysiologic processes and their diseases (4). HBOT has acute and chronic drug effects (5). Acutely, HBOT has been proven to be the most powerful inhibitor of reperfusion injury (6,7,8,9), which is the injury that occurs to tissue deprived of blood supply when blood flow is resumed. This is thought to be one of the primary mechanisms of hyperbaric oxygen therapy effects in acute global ischemia, anoxia, and coma (4). Chronically, HBOT acts as a signal inducer of DNA to effect trophic (growth) tissue changes (10,11,12,13,14,15).

Brie added:

“And I told Bryan, ‘You do have a daughter, so always remember that. But if the doctors finally give you the green light,’ I go, ‘Go! This is your dream and passion. You have one life to live and I will never hold you back.’

“Because I love to wrestle, and I would hate if someone told me you can’t do it. And if WWE doesn’t allow it, then I said, ‘Go somewhere else. It’s all on you.’ Obviously he would love to be able to get back in that WWE ring, but I know for a fact my husband is going to find his way back to the ring. He honestly is.”

As has been often mentioned, Daniel Bryan says that his own doctors have cleared him for a return to the ring, but WWE’s more cautious doctors will not. Daniel Bryan has not made it a secret that he wants to wrestle again and could end up leaving WWE to wrestle elsewhere when his contract expires in ~14 months or so.
