After a shakeup of the TLC card that will see Kurt Angle replacing Roman Reigns and AJ Styles replacing Bray Wyatt, WWE released a statement to ESPN saying that three of their wrestlers have a “viral infection.”
In a statement to ESPN, a WWE representative said, “We have confirmed that three of our performers have been diagnosed with a viral infection. As a precautionary measure, we are ensuring in-ring performers and staff are tested and immunized in accordance with recommended medical guidelines.”
It can be assumed that two of the performers are Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt, with the third likely being Bo Dallas, who has also been out for the past couple of weeks with an undisclosed illness.
Rumors are that the illness is viral meningitis, but that’s not confirmed right now, though WWE calling it a “viral infection” is obviously in the ballpark.
PWInsider is also reporting that WWE required several people to undergo testing earlier this week out of fear that the illness had spread.
