— Awesome Kong posted this statement on her Twitter page today about having to pull out of the show: “I sincerely apologize to all of the disappointed fans that wished to see me vs. Mickey James tonight at NEW. I thank you all for understanding that I should not risk turning a minor injury into a major one.”

— The original plan for the match was for James to go over during the match.

— The Northeast Wrestling show tonight will also feature Daniel Bryan’s final indie appearance. He will face Shelton Benjamin.
