WWE: Styles Injury Update, Rey Mysterio Rumors, Ric Flair Surgery

AJ Styles Injury

AJ Styles’ injury that kept him out for a couple of weeks recently is said to be an MCL injury, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. However, it doesn’t appear to be serious and Styles is on for WrestleMania. He returned to the ring at a house show over the weekend.

Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania?

There’s now a rumor going around that Rey Mysterio Jr. could end up being Braun Strowman’s tag team partner at WrestleMania if Mysterio is cleared from his bicep injury in time.

The rumor was started by Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, who has been notoriously inaccurate and seems to sometimes just be making things up based on guesses.

According to Dave Meltzer, as of yesterday, nobody had brought up doing WrestleMania to Rey Mysterio, so if WWE has plans for him, he apparently is/was unaware. Mysterio has been in talks with WWE though so it is a possibility.

Ric Flair Surgery

Ric Flair will be undergoing “very serious surgery” on July 9, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It’s related to his health issues from last year and the surgery will enable him to get rid of his colostomy bag, which he has had to use since his surgeries last year.
