Glenn “Kane” Jacobs Currently Winning Knox County Mayoral Primary

With 100% of the precincts reporting and a super slim 17 vote lead, Glenn “Kane” Jacobs is currently winning the Republican nomination for mayor of Knox County, TN.

However, there are still 43 provisional ballots that have to be counted (and will be counted on Thursday) so the results won’t be official until then and he could still technically lose, according to the ABC affiliate in Knoxville, TN.

Knox County votes very heavily Republican, so if Kane holds on to win, he will be the heavy favorite to be the next mayor of Knox County. He will face the Democratic candidate, Linda Haney in the general election on August 2.

The results currently show Kane winning by just 17 votes with 100% of precincts reporting, garnering 14,633 votes, while the runner-up Brad Anders has 14,616 votes.

Kane declared victory.
