— As noted earlier, Deadline.com is reporting that the USA Network is close to ordering WWE’s Tough Enough series. The story notes that revival of Tough Enough came together separately from USA’s current efforts in charting unscripted programming and stems from its relationship with. If Tough Enough returns, it is expected to “run in tandem” with Monday Night RAW. It would make sense for the USA Network to air the show at 11EST, immediately following RAW. The same time slot springboarded UFC’s Ultimate Fighter in its first two seasons for SpikeTV.
— Also as noted earlier, Vince McMahon is expected to make his return to WWE TV tonight during Monday Night RAW for the first time since late June. The belief is that it will be another call to the WWE Universe in regards to negative press for the company over Linda McMahon running for the U.S. Senate in Connecticut. McMahon issued a video earlier today that we posted here on the website. Also scheduled for tonight’s RAW in Calgary is John Cena & Randy Orton vs. Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty, actor and star of “Knucklehead” Bobb’e J Thompson will guest star and Bret Hart is expected to make an appearance.
