This post contains spoilers for NXT UK and the Mae Young Classic
Toni Storm has been pulled off of two indie shows this weekend because of an unspecified injury. Both PROGRESS and wXw announced today that Toni Storm won’t be competing at their shows as scheduled this weekend in Germany.
wXw’s tweet says that Storm “sustained an injury last weekend” and “at this point is awaiting further examination to determine the seriousness of this injury.”
Storm appears to have suffered the injury at the NXT UK tapings this past Sunday in an NXT UK Women’s Championship match against Rhea Ripley. People at the show said that the match ended abruptly with Ripley winning, and the referee then checked on Toni Storm and threw up the dreaded “X” symbol, indicating an injury. However, Storm was able to walk backstage on her own.
