New Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced the remaining competitors and both the entire first round matchups and bracket for their Super J-Cup 2019 tournament, which takes place this September in the United States.
Super J-Cup 2019 tournament Round 1:
- Will Ospreay vs. Amazing Red
- SHO vs. Taiji Ishimori
- Clark Connors vs. TJP
- Robbie Eagles vs. El Phantasmo
- Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Jonathan Gresham
- YOH vs. Dragon Lee
- Caristico vs. BUSHI
- Rocky Romero vs. Soberano Jr.
The first round will take place on August 22nd in Tacoma, Washington. The second round will take place on August 24th in San Francisco, California. The semi-finals and finals of the tournament will take place on August 25th at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California.
All three tournament events will not air live on New Japan World and instead will be available to view at a later time on the service’s VOD section.
