A WWE developmental wrestler who was in attendance at the June 9 WWE TV tapings at the WWE Performance Center has tested positive for COVID-19, WWE confirmed in a statement to media.
STATEMENT FROM WWE’S ASSOCIATE MEDICAL DIRECTOR
“A developmental talent, who was last on site at WWE’s training facility on Tuesday, June 9, has tested positive for COVID-19. Since that time, no other individuals that attended the facility have reported symptoms. However, out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the health and safety of the company’s performers and staff, all talent, production crew and employees on site at the training and production facilities will be tested for COVID-19 immediately. Following the test results, WWE plans to proceed with its normal television production schedule.”

As a result of the positive test, WWE has postponed Tuesday’s scheduled TV tapings in order to test wrestlers and staff for COVID-19. This would be the first COVID-19 testing that WWE has done. They’ve previously just done temperature and symptom checks.
WWE was set to tape the June 22 Raw and June 26 SmackDown and 205 Live on Tuesday. Those tapings will now be moved to Wednesday, according to Dave Meltzer. WWE had two episodes of NXT scheduled to be taped on Wednesday. No word yet what will happen with those, but they may be moved to Thursday.
If more people test positive during WWE’s testing on Tuesday, that could also affect the taping schedule.
