Here is the latest on the Mistico to WWE story.
When Mistico returned from Japan last week, he went straight to the US and finalized a deal with WWE, a deal that EMLL knew nothing about. Mistico has been upset about his booking, including that La Sombra up to his level. Mistico felt that he Sombra was nowhere near his level. Last year Mistico talked with AAA and almost jumped jump, but decided against it at the last minute. Mistico hasn’t worked in Arena Mexico since January 18th, where he looked to be beginning a feud with Braza de Plata. He then went on tour with new Japan, and was again upset that EMLL didn’t push him as even being a major part of the shows.
Over the last four years Mistico has had a chance to sign with WWE, and now he feels that he should have signed with WWE back in 2007 when he impressed WWE with a tryout match in California. With Mistico heading to WWE, he will be getting a new gimmick, due to EMLL owning the current gimmick. EMLL may simply shelf the gimmick, or they may give it to someone else. It is expected that Mistico will head to Florida Championship Wrestling for his initial WWE experience.
