Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed recently underwent knee surgery and the hope is that he’ll be back in 6-8 weeks, according to PWInsider.
Tony Khan mentioned that Bowens has a knee injury on the AEW Restricted podcast last week, but didn’t provide details.
Bowens last wrestled on the February 4 Dynamite when The Acclaimed lost to Chris Jericho & MJF. His tag team partner Max Caster has wrestled in singles matches since, including the ladder match at AEW Revolution.
Bowens said on Twitter that he’s been “basically wrestling on one leg” for the past four months.
What you’ve seen the last 4 months was me basically wrestling on 1 leg. I can’t wait to get back full throttle. Don’t worry though, there’s still plenty of Acclaimed content coming your way each week. I’m excited for everyone to get to know us/me a little better outside the ring. https://t.co/uUlKLMwkWN
