WWE Hall of Fame Notes: No Inductors, Shortened Speeches, Liger, Ozzy Osbourne, Titus

WWE taped their Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony last week at the ThunderDome in Tropicana Field and it’ll air tomorrow (Tuesday) at 8 PM ET on Peacock.

Inductors

There won’t be live inductors this year, according to PWInsider.

Instead, WWE ran a video package for each inductee, then introduced them on stage.

Paul Heyman said last week that he “participated” in Rob Van Dam’s induction video, so he may appear in it via video.

Speeches Shortened

Inductee speeches were kept to a “brief minimum” due to two years worth of inductees this year, PWInsider says, and some were as short as 4-5 minutes. For speeches that did run long, it’s expected that there will be some editing to shorten them.

Jushin Liger

Jushin Liger was not there live and accepted via video.

Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne will be the 2021 celebrity inductee into the Hall of Fame, though he hasn’t been officially announced by WWE yet, according to PWInsider.

William Shatner is the 2020 celebrity inductee.

Osbourne was inn thee corner of The British Bulldogs at WrestleMania 2 in 1986 and hosted an episode of Raw in 2009 with Sharon Osbourne.

Titus O’Neal

WWE announced Titus O’Neal as this year’s Warrior Award winner at the Hall of Fame ceremony for his philanthropic work.

Named after WWE Hall of Famer The Ultimate Warrior, The Warrior Award is presented to an individual who has exhibited unwavering strength and perseverance and who lives life with the courage and compassion that embodies the indomitable spirit of The Ultimate Warrior.
