WWE reportedly generated an attendance of 62,296 for their Clash at the Castle event this past Saturday in Cardiff, Wales, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that the split was 49,000 paid and 13,296 comp tickets. Meltzer also reported that the current belief was that WWE could have reached a legit sold out status of 71,500 for the event had they went with lower tickets prices from the start instead of charging much higher than usual for WWE events. Meltzer also reported that another potential reason for the missed chance at a higher attendance number was due to local hotels had also increased their prices for bookings higher than usual which priced out a good amount of potential customers for the event.
In regards to pay-per-view buys, Meltzer reported that the event is currently estimated to have generated around 8,000 buys in the United States from traditional cable and satellite television providers. This reportedly was down from the 18,600 and 9,200 buys that WWE’s SummerSlam 2022 and Money in the Bank 2022 events generated respectively this past July.
In regards to Google, Meltzer reported that WWE’s Clash at the Castle event did not rank in the Top 20 for searches on Google that day, meaning it generated less than 200,000 searches.
