WWE’s current storyline for Judgement Day in recent months has been teasing a potential split between the group’s leader Finn Balor and this year’s Men’s Money in the Bank winner Damian Priest. In recent weeks, the issues between the two have revolved around Balor’s failed attempts at winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and his talks and friendship with JD McDonagh being done without the group’s approval.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials current long term plans for Judgement Day is for Priest to be the one who will eventually be out of the group.
Meltzer reported that it is currently not known if this exactly means that McDonagh will be officially replacing Priest in group but that is the probable direction for him in the near future.
