Friday’s WWE SmackDown drew 2,054,000 viewers on FOX, up from the previous week’s 2,050,000 viewers. That week’s show was notable for being a taped and not a live show due to it taking place in Berlin, Germany and the six-hour time zone difference with the United States.
It drew a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 demographic, down from the previous week’s 0.56 rating.
In regards to notable sports competition, the 2024 Summer Paralympics Games Opening Ceremony drew 1,193,000 viewers on NBC, the College football game of Temple vs. Oklahoma drew 1,651,000 viewers on ESPN, and the College football game of Florida Atlantic vs. Michigan State drew 744,000 viewers on Big Ten Network.
Last year’s SmackDown on September 1, 2023 drew 2,443,000 viewers and a 0.65 rating. The September 2, 2022 episode drew 2,077,000 viewers.
