This past Monday’s WWE RAW premiere show on Netflix at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California was notable for WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan being loudly booed by the live crowd during his whole promo segment. The very negative reaction towards Hogan’s appearances was something that was picked up by several mainstream media outlets.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that many within WWE were not happy with the negative reaction Hogan had received on the show. This reportedly was such a big talking point coming out of the show.
It was reported that a number of people spoken to within WWE had brought up the possibility that Hogan would get booed.
In regards to Hogan, it was reported that Hogan was stated to have been ” surprised and disappointed” over the reaction but brushed it off backstage.
One source spoken to reportedly stated that WWE officials will likely “consider the context in which Hogan is used moving forward” but the negative reaction is not expected to impact the company’s partnership deal with Hogan’s Real American Beer. Another source spoken to stated that there could be the possibility of WWE using more modern talent or other legend to promote Hogan’s product on WWE programming.
