WWE officials reportedly are currently considering inducting Ken Shamrock as a member of the 2025 class for their WWE Hall of Fame, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that WWE officials have held recent talks regarding the idea of inducting Shamrock into their Hall of Fame. Meltzer reported that no official decision has been made yet for Shamrock’s status for this year’s Hall of Fame class.
Shamrock worked for WWE from February of 1997 to September of 1999. Shamrock’s wrestling career achievements and accolades included him being a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, one-time WWE Tag Team Champion, and winner of the 1998 King of the Ring tournament.
Besides his wrestling career, Shamrock was also most known for his MMA career with UFC and Pride FC. Shamrock was inducted into UFC’s Hall of Fame in 2003 as a member of the inaugural class.
“As had been reported a few weeks ago, Earthquake John Tenta and Fred ‘Typhoon/Tugboat’ Ottman will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at the 4/18 ceremony in Las Vegas at the Fontainebleau Hotel,” Meltzer wrote. “While not yet announced, Ken Shamrock’s name has been bandied about as well.”
