As noted before, WWE had a new round of staff layoffs on Thursday at their headquarters office in Stamford, Connecticut. Around 10-12 employees were believed to have been laid off including the SVP of Creative Writing Operations, Christine Lubrano.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that longtime WWE broadcast personality Ryan Pappolla was among those laid off by the company.
Prior to his departure, Pappolla had been with WWE for around the past decade and had worked his way up from starting as an interin to become an on-air broadcaster for their WWE Now and WWE’s The Bump digital series. Pappolla had also been the host of the WWE Vault Watchalong and RAW Sidecasts shows.
Johnson reported that Pappolla had veen very much liked within WWE during his tenure with the company.
