AEW & Warner Bros Discovery Reportedly Considering New Night for AEW Collision Shows

This past Wednesday’s AEW Fyter Fest 2025 show in Denver, Colorado was notable for being a four-hour show that was split up into Dynamite and Collision shows due to TNT and Warner Bros Discovery not wanting that week’s Collision show to go head-to-head against WWE’s Money in the Bank 2025 that Saturday night.

AEW is currently scheduled to air another four-hour block show next week on June 11th for their Summer Blockbuster show in Portland, Oregon due to TNT’s commitments with the NHL Stanley Cup 2025 Finals on Saturday, June 14th.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that another reason for AEW holding four-hour block shows of late is due to WBD officials are currently looking for what time slot and night is the best for AEW’s Collision show going forward on a permanent basis.

Meltzer reported that the reason for Collision potentially changing nights is due to WWE events and other major sporting events being so prevalent on Saturday nights that it isn’t in AEW and WBD’s best interests to continue airing Collision shows that night.

Meltzer reported that Collision moving to a Thursday night 8PM to 10PM timeslot would be better than a Wednesday night 10PM to midnight timeslot although at the cost of not having as perfect of a lead-in with Dynamite. Meltzer reported that another reason why a Thursday night timeslot would be better is due to it not being good in the long term to tape Collision shows in front of a tired crowd and dragging to the viewer at home if they move it to late night on Wednesdays.
