As noted before, Kevin Owens has been out of action for WWE since this past April due to a neck injury.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that Owens underwent successful surgery for his neck on Friday, July 18th.
Sapp reported that those spoken to within WWE stated that the injury and surgery Owens underwent usually takes at least one full year to recover from, which means it is very likley that Owens will end up missing WrestleMania 42 in April of 2026. Sapp reported that each person’s recovery process is different and the company will monitor what he is comfortable doing come the start of next year.
Owens has previously stated in an episode of Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast that he was waiting until mid-July to undergo neck surgery.
