As noted before, Moose announced earlier this week that he was “taking a step back” from TNA Wrestling for health-related reasons following this past Sunday’s Slammiversary 2025 event.
Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Moose had suffered an injury during his match against Leon Slater for the TNA X-Division Championship at TNA’s Slammiversary event. Alvarez reported that Moose got hurt early into the match following a flip dive spot from the apron to floor resulting in him “bouncing” off the ringside mat.
Alvarez reported that while Moose worked the rest of the match hurt, some of the originally planned spots for the match were cut as a result of his injury situation.
Alvarez also reported that Moose’s injury is currently believed to be back-related.
The extent of Moose’s injury nor how long he will be out of action is currently not known.
