This week’s episode starts off with a recap of the issues between Kali Armstrong and Jin Tala.
In-Ring: Kali Armstrong, Jin Tala, Stevie Turner
EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong is in the ring. She’s wondering where Jin Tala is since she likes to attack people from behind. Well, Armstrong is in the ring and if Tala wants the belt and a piece of Armstrong, then she can come on out.
Jin Tala makes her way out and Amrstrong goes right at her. They make their way into the ring and have to be separated by officials. Prime Minister Stevie Turner comes out and makes the match official.
WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championship
Jin Tala vs. Kali Armstrong (c)
Kali Armstrong ducks Jin Tala and drives her into the corner. Armstrong works Tala over in the corner, but Tala fights back and works Armstrong over in the corner. Tala clubs down on Armstrong and then hits a few kicks to the gut. Armstrong reverses a whip and hits a clothesline. Armstrong drops three elbows for a two count. Armstrong cranks Tala’s arm and then clubs down on it. Armstrong hits a shoulder attack, but then Tala reverses things with a shot to the gut. Tala hits a couple of kicks and then sends Armstrong to the corner. Armstrong jumps over Tala and slams her. Armstrong hits the ropes and goes for a diving splash, but Tala gets her knees up. Tala hits a knee lift and then a European uppercut. Tala hits the ropes and hits a tiger feint kick to Armstrong’s gut as the show goes to a break.
Back from the break, Tala hits three knee lifts and then grinds down on Armstrong’s back. Tala hits a snap suplex for a two count. Tala rains down some elbows and then locks on a seated abdominal stretch while clubbing at Armstrong’s midsection. Armstrong is able to stand up, but Tala strikes her back down and locks the seated abdominal stretch on again. Armstrong gets to her knees and Tala strikes at her. Armstrong fires up and fights back with punches. Tala is sent to the ropes and Armstrong hits a shoulder block. Armstrong hits a back elbow and a spinebuster for a two count. Armstrong goes for a running shoulder attack in the corner, but Tala moves out of the way. Armstrong hits the corner hard and Tala rolls her up for a two count. Tala kicks Armstrong and goes for another tiger feint kick. Armstrong catches the kick and slams Tala. Armstrong hits the Kali Connection for the win!
Winner: Kali Armstrong via Pinfall to retain the WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championship.
Chuey Martinez interviews Kali Armstrong after the match. Armstrong warned Jin Tala and everyone saw what happened. The same thing is going to happen every time someone faces her.
Karmen Petrovic’s music hits and she comes out to congratulate Armstrong. However, they have unfinished business from NXT a few weeks ago. Since Armstrong didn’t show back up on NXT, Petrovic has come to EVOLVE for the EVOLVE Women’s Championship.
Backstage: The Vanity Project
The Vanity Project are in the back. Zayda Steel wants to know if any of the guys heard what Keanu Carver said about them. Brad Baylor says that Carver is just jealous of them. Ricky Smokes says that they are everywhere and are friends with Ethan Page. Jackson Drake talks about how tough Carver looks and mentions how he also has Brooks Jensen breathing down his back. Baylor says that they have things handled and got a match between Bryce Donovan and Keanu Carver. Donovan doesn’t seem thrilled about it, but The Vanity Project knows he’ll handle Carver. Steel tells him that he has it as Swipe Right and Drake walk away.
Backstage: Carlee Bright, Kendal Grey
Carlee Bright and Kendal Grey are in the locker room. Bright feels that Grey deserves the championship and wants to know what’s up with Wendy Chool. Grey is pissed off by Choo’s antics. Bright lost her match because of Choo and doesn’t appreciate her, as well. Grey wants Choo, but Bright wants her first.
Video: Cappuccino Jones, Kylie Rae
A video package airs for last week’s WWE ID Showcase presented by GCW. Cappuccino Jones won the WWE ID Men’s Champion, while Kylie Rae won the WWE ID Women’s Championship. The video gives a reminder that the championships will be defended against WWE ID prospects around the independents, but if an independent wrestler wins the championship – they will join the WWE ID program.
Backstage: Stevie Turner, Karmen Petrovic
Prime Minister Stevie Turner is in her office with Karmen Petrovic. Turner welcomes Petrovic to EVOLVE and apologizes to her about what happened on NXT with Armstrong. Petrovic is fine with it as long as she gets a rematch. Tyra Mae Steele interrupts and says that she deserves a title shot first. Petrovic says that Steele should be worried about what’s happening on NXT more since she wants to be there. Turner says that Petrovic deserves the opportunity. Therefore, next week it’ll be Petrovic vs. Steele in a EVOLVE Women’s Championship Eliminator Match.
Carlee Bright vs. Wendy Choo
They lock up and Wendy Choo throws Carlee Bright across the ring. They lock up again and Choo goes behind. Choo brings Bright to the mat and then crawls after her. Bright backs up, but succumbs to a side headlock and then a takeover. Bright grabs a headscissors, but Choo handstands out of it. Choo tries to grab a headlock, but Bright reads it and grabs an armbar. Choo elbows out of it and grabs a wristlock. Bright tries to roll out of it, but Choo drags her down to the mat and keeps hold of the wristlock. Bright is able to kip up and cartwheel out of it. Choo grabs an arm again, though. Bright uses the ropes to flip out of it and hits a tackle.
Choo sits up with a scary smile, but Bright rolls her up. Choo kicks out. Bright tries another roll up, but Choo kicks out and sends Bright to the corner. Bright reverses things and slams Choo’s head into the top turnbuckle. Choo laughs it off and sends Bright to the ropes. Bright hits a headscissors and then a dropkick. Choo rolls to the floor. Kendal Grey distracts Choo, allowing Bright to hit a dive off of the apron on Choo as the show goes to a break.
Back from the break, Bright is climbing to the top rope, but Choo cuts her off with a kick. Choo slams Bright off of the ropes and then stomps on her. Choo twists Bright’s neck between her legs and then goes for a slam. Bright slips out and hits a few punches. Bright hits the ropes, but Choo hits a tackle for a two count. Choo locks on an arm and neck stretch. Bright works out of it with punches, but Choo clubs down on her back. Choo tries to lift up Bright, but Carlee slips out and hits a couple of clotheslines. Bright is sent to the ropes and ducks under Choo, hitting a neckbreaker and then a standing moonsault for a two count.
Bright charges at Choo in the corner, but Wendy moves out of the way. Bright hits a back elbow and goes to the second rope. Choo slaps Bright in the face and tries to join Bright on the ropes. Bright knocks Choo to the mat and goes for a flying crossbody, but Choo rolls through for a two count. Choo lifts up Bright, but Carlee rolls out of it. Bright goes for a roll up, but Choo kicks out and goes for the Dirt Nap. Bright gets out of it and hits a Code Breaker for a two count. They exchange strikes until Bright hits a series of chops and then lifts up Choo. Choo slips out and hits a short clothesline. Choo locks on the Dirt Nap and Bright passes out.
Winner: Wendy Choo via Submission.

Backstage: Tate Wilder, Brooks Jensen
Chuey Martinez is in the back with Tate Wilder. Wilder is happy to finally get on the horse in EVOLVE. Unfortunately, things didn’t go his way against Edris Enofe. Brooks Jensen interrupts. Jensen says that Wilder crashed and burned and Martinez should be interviewing him instead of Wilder. Jensen tells Wilder that “this place” will chew you up and spit you out. Martinez asks Jensen about what he did about Oasis. Jensen says that teaming with Oasis seemed cool, but was just a dead end. Wilder says that if Jensen is talking crap, and since Ridge Holland is too scared to show up, then why not make it Wilder vs. Jensen? Jensen says that he’ll go talk to Stevie Turner.
Backstage: Dante Chen
Dante Chen is in the back. He’s been around in the WWE and has watched a lot of people head to RAW and Smackdown. Chen has been waiting for an opportunity and sees one in EVOLVE. Edris Enofe has turned into someone he’s not. Enofe looks like a star, but doesn’t deserve championships just because of that. Titles are earned and that’s exactly what Chen wants to do – earn things. Chen talked to Stevie Turner and it’s confirmed that Chen will get another shot at Enofe next week.

Bryce Donovan vs. Keanu Carver
Bryce Donovan kicks Keanu Carver in the gut to start off. Donovan then works Carver over in the corner and hits a short clothesline on him. Carver reverses a whip and hits a tackle. Carver hits two punches to Donovan’s gut and charges at him. Donovan moves and Carver goes to the apron. Donovan takes two shots at Carver and then knocks him to the floor with a leaping punch. Donovan jumps at Carver from the apron, but is caught. Carver slams Donovan onto the apron as the show goes to a break.
Back from the break, Carver forearms Donovan in the gut back in the ring. Carver hits the ropes, but eats a big boot from Donovan for a two count. Donovan clubs at Carver’s back and then his chest for a two count. Carver tries to fight back, but Donovan knees him in the gut. Donovan tries to pick up Carver, but Keanu blocks it and picks up Donovan. Donovan slips out and sends Carver to the ropes. Donovan follows him in and kicks the ropes into Carver. Donovan hits a clothesline and slam for a two count. Donovan grabs a chinlock, but Carver drives Donovan into the corner. Donovan grabs the chinlock again, but gets driven into the corner again. Donovan grabs the chinlock a third time and then sends Carver into the corner.
Donovan kicks Carver and grinds his boot into him until the referee breaks it up. Donovan charges at Carver, but Keanu catches his boot and hits a clothesline. Carver sends Donovan into the corner and then picks him up. Carver slams Donovan and then hits a fallaway slam for a two count. Carver tries another pin and gets a two count. Carver lifts up Donovan, but is able to use the ropes to get out of it. Donovan clubs at Carver from the second rope, but Carver shakes it off and punches Donovan. Carver joins Donovan on the ropes and goes for a superplex, but Donovan slips out of it and lifts Carver up and hits an electric chair slam for a two count.
Carver dodges a big boot and hits a Samoan Drop on Donovan. Donovan rolls to the apron, but Carver drags him back into the ring. Donovan pulls Carver into the ropes throat-first. Zayda Steel distracts the referee as Donovan tells The Vanity Project to get a chair. They can’t find a chair.
Brooks Jensen comes out and has words with The Vanity Project. Jordan Oasis comes out and attacks Jensen and they fight to the back. Brad Baylor finally finds a chair, but it’s too late. Carver pulls Donovan to the center of the ring and hits the Pounce. Carver hits a running powerslam for the win!
Winner: Keanu Carver via Pinfall.
