Will Ospreay Thanks Fans for Support Following AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025
As noted before, this past Sunday’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 event in London, England featured a show closing angle involving the Death Riders attacking Will Ospreay following the Lights Out Steel Cage match. This attack ended with the Death Riders placing a chair around Ospreay’s head and Pillmanized him with it.
Ospreay provided an update on Monday on Twitter thanking the fans for the support they have shown towards him.
“I genuinely have no words.
Thank you so much for every little bit of support.
Love you guys so much @AEW“

Backstage Update on Jamie Hayter’s Surprise Return at Forbidden Door 2025
As noted before, this past Sunday’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 event in London, England also featured Jamie Hayter making her surprise return from injury.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Hayter’s return was a “little later” than AEW officials had hoped.
It was reported that while Hayter had initially thought she was okay after suffering an injury during her match with Mercedes Mone at this past May’s Double or Nothing 2025 event, she was ultimately not cleared for an in-ring return.
It was also reported that Hayter’s injury pushed up AEW’s plans for Thekla’s debut in the company. Hayter reportedly gained praise backstage for working a “smoke and mirrors” spot while not cleared to help Thekla’s debut get off the ground.
It was also reported that AEW officials plan has always been for Hayter and Thekla to feud upon Hayter’s return.
