As noted before, Kenny Omega will be taking a break from AEW for non-injury related reasons and is expected to miss AEW’s All Out 2025 as a result. This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured the Don Callis Family attacking Omega and Omega being stretchered out as AEW’s way of writing him out for the time being.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that the reason for Omega’s break is due to him having upcoming medical work that needed to be done and had been planned for some time.
In regards to Omega’s planned trip to Japan, Meltzer reported that Omega will be going to Japan to see doctors that he’s scheduled to work with on his various health-related issues.
Omega reportedly is also currently scheduled to do some work with New Japan Pro Wrestling and make some television appearances for media work for NJPW during his trip to Japan. Meltzer reported that Omega will also be getting his Japanese work visa updated during his time in the country.
