Shayna Baszler, Damian Priest, & Montez Ford Makes Surprise Return Appearances

Tuesday’s WWE NXT Homecoming show also featured Shayna Baszler, Damian Priest, and Montez Ford making a surprise return appearance to NXT.

During the show, Sol Ruca and Zaria were seen backstage bickering over their tag team loss last week and who was at fault for it. This led to Lainey Reid showing up to interrupt telling Ruca she should worry more about facing her at No Mercy for her WWE Speed Women’s title. This led to Candice LeRae showing up to interrupt and told Reid that she will be the one to win their match and go to No Mercy. This then led to Baszler showing up to interrupt and told everyone to save it leading to LeRae and Reid walking away. Baszler told Ruca and Zaria that she made history holding the title longer than anyone and how she has been a tag champion too. Baszler then told Ruca and Zaria to apologize and fix their issues with each other.

Later in the show, Tavion Heights was seen backstage watching the TV and being upset over Page’s victory against Tyler Breeze. This led to Priest showing up and after some words of encouragement, he stated that he hd a talk with NXT GM Ava and got him a match against Page for the NXT North American title at NXT No Mercy.

Later in the show, Montez Ford showed up to interrupt DarkState’s backstage interview and talked about DarkState’s NXT Tag Team titles and how they are home together and he wishes he knew that feeling. Ford then warned DarkState to worry about the targets on their backs before leaving.

DIY Brings Back “No One Will Survive” & “Rebel Hart” Entrance Themes Songs

Tuesday’s WWE NXT Homecoming show also featured DIY’s Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano bringing back their former NXT entrance theme songs of “No One Will Survive” and “Rebel Heart” for their tag team match against Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams.

The Miz Makes Surprise Appearance

Tuesday’s WWE NXT Homecoming show also featured The Miz making a surprise appearance to NXT.

Near the end of the tag team match between Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams and DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano), the referee got distracted after Ciampa and Williams brawled on the outside leading to The Miz running out and hit a Skull Crushing Finale to Gargano on the outisde. The Miz then tossed Gargano back into the ring leading to Hayes hitting the Nothin But Net for the pinfall victory.

NXT North American Title Match Announced for NXT No Mercy 2025

Tuesday’s WWE NXT Homecoming show also featured one new match announced for the card of NXT No Mercy 2025, which takes place on which takes place on September 27th at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This new match announced was a NXT North American Championship match of Tavion Heights vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page (c).

This match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Heights and Page’s bad blood issues with each other and Heights wanting to dethrone Page for his title. During tonight’s show, Damian Priest made a surprise appearance and had a chat with Heights backstage informing him that he got him a match against Page for the NXT North American title at No Mercy.

Among the new notable matches announced was a NXT Championship and TNA World Championship, Title vs. Title match of Oba Femi (NXT) vs. Trick Williams (TNA). This match was setup following a Grayson Waller Effect talk show segment involving Grayson Waller, Ricky Saints, Femi, and Williams.
