Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials current creative plans as of this past week was for Seth Rollins to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk at their next WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show on November 1st in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Meltzer reported that the current plans is for Rollins vs. Punk to headline the show and for the show’s card to be three matches in total.
In regards to other matches planned for the show, Meltzer reported that the current plans are for a WWE Women’s Championship match of Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton (c) and a Undisputed WWE Championship #1 Contender match of Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre.
In regards to current plans for this year’s Survivor Series WarGames 2025 event on November 29th in San Diego, California, Meltzer reported that the current plan is for Cody Rhodes to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against the winner of Fatu vs. McIntyre at the event. McIntyre is currently expected to be the official challenger for Rhodes.
In regards to the teams for the Men’s WarGames match, Meltzer reported that the current plans are for the face team to feature Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, and a fifth member that has yet to be decided upon. Meltzer reported that the current candidates for this final member are Jimmy Uso and LA Knight.
Meltzer reported that the current plans for the heel team are for it to feature The Vision (Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, & “Big” Bronson Reed), Brock Lesnar, and Austin Theory. It was not specified if Theory would be joining The Vision when he return from his undisclosed injury that has kept him out of action since this past July.
In regards to the teams for the Women’s WarGames match, Meltzer reported that the current plans for the women’s face team are for it to feature AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and IYO SKY. The current plans for the heel team reportedly are for it to feature Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend.
