Randy Orton Pays Tribute to John Cena & Calls Him An Inspiration

As noted before, this past Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Washington, D.C. featured Gunther defeating John Cena in Cena’s retirement match for his wrestling career.

Randy Orton recently paid tribute to Cena on Instagram and praised Cena for being an inspiration to not only a generation of fans but also to him. Orton also stated that he was unable to be in attendance at Cena’s retirement match show due to him being in Saudi Arabia for promotional work for WWE.

“I broke into the wrestling business and grew up for the past 2 decades alongside @johncena I wrestled with or against him 100 times, at least. I would have enjoyed being there in DC for #wwe #snme and witness his emotional send off into retirement. But I know if ANYONE understands my absence, it’s John, because I was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia #KSA promoting #riyadhseason and #royalrumble.

The morning of his retirement we exchanged a few texts, and I was honored to speak with him on such a big day. I look forward to following John’s career in Hollywood AND beyond. Skys the limit with this guy. An inspiration not only to generations of fans, but to myself, who was lucky enough to learn firsthand from one of the most OVER wrestlers ever. Thanks for being so good to my family over the years and thanks for making the lockeroom a better place. Take care John, and I’ll see ya around. 👋🏼❤️”

Nick Aldis Agrees To Give Drew McIntyre an Undisputed WWE Title Match & Cody Rhodes Attacks McIntyre At His Home

Prior to the start of Monday’s WWE RAW show at Hershey, Pennsylvania, WWE released a new video on social media featuring Drew McIntyre and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

In the video, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis was seen walking to McIntyre’s home with several police officers following him. Aldis and McIntyre held a meeting and agreed to terms for a deal. These terms were Aldis would lift his suspension on McIntyre but he would have to pay a fine and also apologize to referee Dan Engler, who he attacked prior to getting suspended. In return, McIntyre agreed to return as long as he got a guaranteed future match for Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship, he gets to name the stipulation for it, and Rhodes can’t lay a finger on him prior to the match or else he would be stripped of his title.

Following them agreeing to terms, McIntyre looked at his phone and saw security footage of Rhodes being near his house with police officers blocking his path. Aldis went to argue with Rhodes over him showing up leading to a brawl breaking out between Rhodes and McIntyre that ended with police separating the two.
