Netflix VP Of Sports Says Hulk Hogan Documentary Still In Production
As noted before, Netflix has been working on a new wrestling docuseries based on the late WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea.
The Varsity’s Jon Ourand held a recent interview with Netflix Vice President of Sports Gabe Spitzer. One of the topics discussed included Spitzer’s thoughts about the overall health of sports documentaries and revealed that a new docuseries based on Hogan is still in production.
“We have reached sort of a tipping point in the ‘follow doc genre,’ as we call it, where maybe there are too many of them, so we have to be a bit pickier in terms of the ones we’re doing. We still have Quarterback. We’re still doing many seasons of Drive to Survive. We have America’s Sweethearts on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Outside of that, there are incredible other docs coming. Hulk Hogan, Mike Tyson, Deion Sanders. There are plenty of good ones still out there.
Hulk Hogan, we had been filming with Hogan for 20 hours around the time of when he passed. We think that can be a good one.”

Seth Rollins Comments on WWE Has Been “Taking Sh*t” Over Saudi “Blood Money” Relationship For Six Years
A recent episode of the Mohr Stories podcast featured Seth Rollins as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rollins’ thoughts about if WWE gets as much shit as the comedians got for performing in Saudi Arabia and his issues with those criticizing the company for their working relationship with the Saudi government.
“We’ve been going there for six years. We’ve been taking sh*t for six years. Oh, of course [we take sh*t for it]. ‘It’s blood money.’ Yeah, well, guess what? We get paid by America, too. What do you think? You think there’s no blood money there? Come on. Get out of here.
Look, here’s what I’ll tell you. We’ve gone there for six years. And I’ll say this, when we went in 2019, I was skeptical as well. ‘Oh, I don’t know about this. I don’t know. I don’t know how I feel about it.’ But we go over there and the change in the culture and the people at our shows in six years has been incredible. When I tell you we went there the first time, there were no women on our show. There were no women backstage. They wouldn’t do anything. Now we go there and it’s just like a WWE show. The fans, there’s a ton of women there, local.”

Liv Morgan Alleged Stalker Arrest Update – Morgan’s Stalker Reportedly Intends To Introduce New Mental Insanity Defense
As noted before, a man named Shawn Chan was arrested this past June outside of WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida over charges of him being an alleged stalker of Liv Morgan. Chan was issued federal charges related to a stalking incident at Morgan’s home, which Morgan was away from at the time. Chan had filed a motion this past August requesting to be released from jail that was later rejected by the court twice.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Chan is currently scheduled to stand trial on January 12, 2026 but this potentially could end up being delayed based on a recent court filing.
Johnson reported that Chan had filed a motion on Monday before The United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division stating that he intends to “introduce expert evidence at trial relating to a mental disease or defect or any other mental condition of the defendant bearing on the issue of guilt.” Johnson also reported that previous court filings had mentioned that Chan may seek to file a notice under Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 12.2(b), which is a notice of an insanity defense that includes expert testimony.
Prosecutors reportedly have informed the Court that Chan’s attempt to go in this route for his defense is “untimely” and requested for it to be ignored due to all parties are far beyond the timeframe for this to be introduced. Johnson reported that a pre-trial order from the court had stated that all sides had a deadline of March 12th to file pre-trial motions. Prosecutors are currently arguing that it is too late for this new door to be opened and if the court agrees to Chan’s motion, there is no way a trial can take place on January 12th as previously scheduled.
