WWE reportedly is currently expected to be returning to Puerto Rico for a Premium Live event in 2026, according to Post Wrestling.
John Pollock and Brandon Thurston reported that their sources stated that next year’s Backlash event is currently scheduled to be taking place in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Pollock and Thurston reported that while no exact date has been confirmed yet, one source with access to an internal calendar stated that this upcoming event is currently scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026.
It was reported that while he is not confirmed for the event, WWE likely would want musician Bad Bunny to be involved in the upcoming event in some form. Bad Bunny had competed in a San Juan Street Fight match against Damian Priest at Backlash 2023, which also took place in Puerto Rico and also was the first time WWE held a PLE in Puerto Rico.
