As noted before, Buddy Matthews has been out of action for AEW since this past February’s Grand Slam Australia event due to an ankle injury and surgery.
Matthews provided an update on Friday on Instagram stating that his recovery is taking longer than he had expected due to him currently dealing with nerve issues.
“It’s been a long process! Still having nerve issues with a lot of numbness! But accepted that it’s gonna take time. Really thought I’d have returned to the ring by now but can only control what I can.”
