Hologram Knee Injury & Potential Return Update
As noted before, Hologram has been out of action for AEW since this past September due to a knee injury and surgery. This past Saturday’s AEW Worlds End 2025 event in Hoffman Estates, Illinois featured the announcement of El Clon making his return to AEW’s Collision brand this January. This led to online speculation of Hologram might be close to making his return from injury soon due to El Clon being the evil version of him.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that Hologram is still a long way away from being able to make his return from injury as of this past weekend.
“Speedball” Mike Bailey Gives Reason Why He Wore Kevin Knight’s Gear at AEW Worlds End 2025
This past Saturday’s AEW Worlds End 2025 event in Hoffman Estates, Illinois featured JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey) & Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus & Jungle Jack Perry) defeating The Demand (Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun, & Ricochet) & Josh Alexander in an Eight-Man Tag Team match. This match was notable for Bailey not wearing his usual ring gear and instead was seen wearing Knight’s gear instead.
Bailey recently released a new vlog on his official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Bailey’s thoughts about the reasons why he wore Knight’s gear for their match at the event.
“As I’m here, my gear, my suitcase, didn’t make it on the flight yesterday, and it was supposed to get here, arrive at 4 p.m. in Chicago. It was supposed to arrive at 8 a.m. in Chicago. It didn’t. Then it was supposed to arrive at 4 p.m, and then it didn’t. So I won’t have wrestling gear for tonight. So I’m going to have to figure that out, and I know what you’re saying. I know what you’re thinking. If anyone in the business is listening, you’re thinking, well, you’re not supposed to check your gear, and I know but I fly out of a very small airport, so I can’t. If I bring on a carry-on, they make me check it anyways. So, yeah, thanks, I’ll figure it out.”

Tony Khan Comments on Potential of Women Main Eventing An AEW PPV in Future
Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about what it would take for women to main event an AEW pay-per-view event.
“It’s very potentially possible. It has to be the right match, the right situation, at the right time. If there were ever two that could do it, it would be the two you mentioned. But there’s a bunch of other candidates for it as well. It was a fantastic match. They had it All In: Texas. That was a main-event-caliber match. It really felt that way. It was presented as one of the main matches on the card.”
Khan also gave his thoughts about the decision to have Hangman Adam Page vs. Kyle Fletcher headline this past September’s AEW All Out 2025 event over “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Kris Statlander.
“Well, it just depends on the situation, the rivalry at the right time. I think it’s a great point, a great question. For what the matches are, and in that case, I thought for what they were going to do, going 38 minutes, tearing the house down on that particular night, I thought ‘Hangman’ and Kyle was a great choice. Knowing what they had planned, and a lot of times that comes down to it. I think it’s absolutely something we can see, and I would expect to see, in the future, on the night where it makes the most sense, and it’s the biggest and most anticipated match on that card.”
