WWE reportedly recently made a significant change to their current plans for this April’s WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to the Wrestling Observer Radio.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that WWE officials made the decision to shift their WrestleMania 42 plans this past Wednesday. Meltzer reported that while the new plans are currently not fully known yet, the planned Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns match is now believed to be unlikely for the event following Drew McIntyre defeating Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Meltzer speculated that McIntyre, Rhodes, and Jacob Fatu will face off in a Triple Threat match for the Undisputed WWE Championship but that match could potentially happen somewhere else other than WrestleMania 42.
Meltzer also reported that it is currently not known why WWE officials made the decision to shift their WrestleMania plans. Meltzer speculated that WWE officials likely wanted to shake things up and make it less predictable for their plans for the upcoming event. Meltzer also reported that this might have played a big role in wanting to put the Undisputed WWE title on McIntyre at this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Berlin, Germany.
