As noted before, actor and indies wrestler Paul Walter Hauser revealed in an interview with the Chris Van Vliet podcast this past November that he had been approached about playing WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley in a potential new wrestling-based biopic film.
The Stunner held a recent interview with Hauser. One of the topics discussed included Hauser providing an update on the project stating that he has been officially attached to portray Foley in a new limited television series. Hauser stated that this new television project has yet to be shopped around but it will be happening.
“We can kind of break that news. I haven’t said it yet, but I’m attached to play Mick in a limited series. We haven’t gone out to market yet, but it’s happening.”
Hauser also gave his thoughts about his goal is to focus on Foley as a human and not just on his wrestling career for Foley’s story.
“Hopefully I can bring some of my personality to that aspect as well, because when you tell the story, you’ve got to humanize the guy. We’re not just telling the Mankind story. It’s like, no, this is the Mick Foley story.”
