As noted before, WWE recently enacted a new policy that would prevent local business establishments from being allowed to broadcast this April’s WrestleMania 42 event at their venues if they are within a 50 mile radius of the event in Las Vegas, Nevada. The reason for this new policy is due to WWE’s attempt at trying to boost the lower than expected ticket sales for WrestleMania 42.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that several business establishments in the Chicago area market have been informed that they can not host watch parties for the upcoming Elimination Chamber 2026 event, which takes place on February 28th at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
It was reported that the reason for WWE’s blackout policy for these upcoming events is to attempt to increase ticket sales for these events.
In regards to the current ticket sales for WWE’s upcoming event, WrestleTix reported that WWE has sold and distributed around 14,895 tickets as of Friday. It was reported that WWE’s current seating setup for the event is 17,016.
