Thunder Rosa Comments on She Feared She’d Never Wrestle Again After Recent Injury

As noted before, Thunder Rosa made her surprise return to AEW at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Sacramento, California. Prior to her return, Rosa had been out of action since this past July’s All In Texas event due to undisclosed injuries.

A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured co-host Rosa discussing her thoughts about her upcoming match against Julia Hart for her in-ring return from injury at tonight’s AEW Collision show.

“I’m excited. There’s like five different feelings I’m feeling right now. I feel a knot in my stomach. I’m just nervous, it’s always good to have nerves right before a big return.

This would be the second time that I’ve been gone for a long period of time. I’ve been out for eight months. I can tell you therapy, physical therapy was key for me to come back the way I came back. It was rough and just the fact that I had to take smaller steps to even do like simple things. It took me a while and it was very scary so now the pressure is on even more for myself, because I have nothing to prove to anyone. I want to make this very clear, everything that I’m doing I’m doing to prove to myself that I still got it, that I deserve this spot.”

Rosa also gave her thoughts about how she had feared she would never be able to wrestle again after her recent injury.

“Life gives me an opportunity again to do something that I’ve worked so hard for the last 12 years. I am beyond excited. I have a message to everyone who’s been super supportive for my comeback: It’s important not to give up, especially during dark times. This injury, believe me, Robin, it was dark.

There were some moments that I was like, I’m probably never going to wrestle again. So I’m extremely excited about Collision to wrestle Julia Hart.”

Excalibur Comments on Kyle Fletcher & Daniel Garcia Would Be His Dream Opponents If He Ever Wrestles Again

The San Diego Times held a recent interview with AEW lead commentator Excalibur. One of the topics discussed included Excalibur’s thoughts about how he thinks about returning to the ring occasionally and how Kyle Fletcher and Daniel Garcia would be his dream opponents if he were to ever return to the ring.

“But then I’ll stand up and my knees will crack and my lower back will twinge and I’ll say, ‘Oh, you know what? Maybe that itch is better left unscratched.”

Excalibur last wrestled in 2007.
