As noted before, the Mexican military launched an operation on Sunday that killed “El Mencho” who was the leader of the powerful CJNG (Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generación). El Mencho’s death resulted in a wave of violence committed by the CJNG cartel across Mexico and many businesses closing for safety reasons in response, including several lucha libre shows being cancelled that day.
CMLL announced earlier today that they have officially cancelled their upcoming Martes De Glamour show this Tuesday at the Arena Coliseo in Guadalajara following the recommendation of security authorities for safety issues to their fans, talents, and staff.
“In light of the events of the last few hours in our country, and following the recommendations of security authorities, we have made the decision to suspend our event scheduled for Tuesday, February 24 at the Arena Coliseo in Guadalajara, prioritizing the safety of the best fans in the world.
This decision reflects our commitment to ensuring a safe environment for the audience, the talent, and all personnel involved in the event’s operation. We sincerely appreciate the understanding, support, and trust of our fans. We will continue to provide updates through our official channels.”
