Darby Allin Comments on Him Not Seeing The Comparisons with Spike Dudley

A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured Darby Allin as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Allin’s thoughts about how he does not see the comparison of him being a modern day Spike Dudley in terms of the crazy looking bumps they take during their matches.

“Yeah. I don’t really see it, to be honest. Because I’m way more of a wrestler’s wrestler. I don’t feel like Spike (Dudley) was ever a technical wrestler. Definitely, but I definitely feel like I’m way more of a wrestler’s wrestler than that. I sh*t you not, I feel like I could out-wrestle a lot of people from a technical standpoint but, ain’t nobody wanna see Darby Allin do a lot of technical wrestling but when I do, it’s super fun, because I feel like people always forget that I know how to do this. But I got a ring at my house and I train all the time. So, yeah, I don’t personally see it, but that’s just the nature of the business. I feel like a lot of wrestling stuff is very small-minded. You think about, ‘Oh, he’s with Sting because they have face paint.’ It’s like, dude, it goes way beyond that. I feel like, yeah, a lot of people are very small-minded in wrestling.”

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that AEW’s Collision show for the week of March 21st will be impacted by TNT’s upcoming commitments with the NCAA’s 2026 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Johnson reported that AEW Collision that week is currently scheduled to be split up into two one-hour Slam Dunk specials.

The Collision Slam Dunk Saturday show will be airing on March 21st starting at 11PM EST and the Slam Dunk Sunday show will be airing on March 22nd starting at 11PM EST on TNT and HBO MAX.

Backstage Update on How The Rascalz Kept Their Entrance Theme from TNA

As noted before, former TNA stable The Rascalz (Zacrahy Wentz, Myron Reed, & Dezmond Xavier) made their official debuts in AEW this past January. In an interesting note, The Rascalz have been using the same entrance theme song for their matches that was used during their time in TNA Wrestling.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the reason why The Rascalz were able to keep their entrance theme song from TNA was not due to a case of AEW buying the rights to the song.

Instead, it was reported that The Rascalz’s song already existed in a music library that AEW had already purchased the licensed for meaning they were free to use it without any additional cost for the group in the company.
