Swerve Strickland Explains His Actions & Attack on Kenny Omega

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado featured Swerve Strickland explaining his reasons for his actions and attack on Kenny Omega at last week’s show.

During the show, Prince Nana came out to the commentary area and told Tony Schiavone if they think Swerve cares about $100,000 fine he got for his actions last week. Nana told Shiavone, Excalibur, and Nigel McGuinness to get out of the way and move. Nana then introduced Swerve who came out to no music and loud boos from the crowd.

Swerve stood on the commentary table and before he could speak, some in the crowd started chanting for him. Swerve responded asking the sickos if he missed them and how some of the fans don’t like what happened last week. Swerve talked about Omega had the way to get in his way for the World title and asked Omega if he is dumb. Swerve then stated that because he beat Omega, he is next in line for a title shot. Swerve continued stating that Omega challenged him as a man and a threat and brought up how he took down another EVP.

Swerve talked about how he had spent the last three years killing The Elite and brought up his history with Hangman Page. After some more words, Swerve stated that he chooses to live his life going forward with no regrets. Swerve then looked into the camera and issued a warning to the AEW locker room stating that everyone is on notice Swerve says he choses to live life going forward with no regrets. Swerve looks in the camera and stated that he puts the entire AEW roster on notice. Swerve stated that at anytime he will clip them and claimed that he is still the most dangerous man in AEW. Swerve then left through the crowd as Nana followed him.


Texas Death Match Stip Set for AEW World Title Match at AEW Revolution 2026

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one newly updated match for the card of Revolution 2026, which takes place on which takes place on March 15th at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

This newly updated match announced was an AEW World Championship Texas Death Match of Hangman Adam Page vs. MJF (c).

This newly updated match was setup following an in-ring promo segment featuring AEW World Champion MJF and Page making their decision for the official stipulation for their title match at Revolution. During the show, Page and MJF came out to talk about their match and their stipulations, which Page suggested a Texas Death Match and MJF suggested a One-way No DQ match. MJF stated that his stip meant that he could do anything he wanted while if Page soo much as looked at a weapon, he would get DQ’d and could no longer challenge for the AEW World title ever again. MJF also suggested that they flip a coin to determine the stip, which Page agreed. After some more words between the two, MJF flipped the coin and it landed on heads meaning MJF’s stip would be chosen. Hangman asked MJF for the coin since he felt something fishy happened, which MJF refused and attempted to leave to the back. MJF was stopped by JetSpeed, Brody King, and Bandido who forced MJF back into the ring.

Page demanded the coin agin which MJF tried to weasel out giving saying Page could have any other coin instead. MJF was then forced to give up the coin, which Page showed up was a double sided head coin.

Tony Schiavone announced that as a result of the coin being rigged, Tony Khan has ruled that the match at Revolution would be a Texas Death Match.

Penelope Ford Suffered Apparent Injury

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Penelope Ford suffering an apparent injury.

This potential injury took place during the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match between MegaBad (Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford) and Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) that resulted in Ford being attended to by AEW medics at ringside and was not able to continue the match. This led to a likely audible being called and Lena Kross interfering and attacked Nightingale with one of the belts resulting in the referee calling for the bell.


Brody King vs. Strickland and Bandido vs. Andrade El Idolo Challenges for Issued for AEW Revolution 2026

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured two new potential matches for teh card of Revolution 2026.

The first new potential match is a singles match of Brody King vs. Swerve Strickland.

The second new potential match is a singles match of Bandido vs. Andrade El Idolo.

Both new potential matches were setup following King’s victory over Mark Davis in a singles match on the show, Following the match, King grabbed a microphone and called of Swerve Strickland challenging him to a match at Revolution so that he could prove who really is the most dangerous man in AEW.

Bandido then grabbed the microphone and issued his own open challenge match for Revolution, which led to Andrade El Idolo coming out to answer.

This week’s show will be taped on February 25th as part of AEW’s Dynamite show that night at the same venue.
