AEW held a new set of television tapings for AEW Collision on Wednesday in Fresno, California for this weekend’s AEW Collision Slam Dunk Saturday and Sunday 2026 specials.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported Josh Alexander is currently believed to have suffered a potential knee injury based on those in attendance at the tapings.
Alexander suffered the potential injury during an AEW World Trios Championship match between the Don Callis Family (Alexander, El Clon, & Konosuke Takeshita) and Misitico & JetSpeed (“Speedball” Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight). Alexander suffered the injury following a spot where Bailey hit an Ultima Weapon and Alexander pulled his knees up to block it. This reportedly resulted in their knees hitting each other hard and Alexander went to the floor and did not return for the remainder of the match.
Those in attendance stated that Alexander was helped to the back after the match.
The nature nor severity of Alexander’s potential injury is currently not known but Johnson reported that he was checked out backstage after the match.
