Ash By Elegance Comments on Her Brief Retirement From Wrestling Due To Undisclosed Health Issues
As noted before, TNA talent Ash By Elegance had briefly retired from wrestling following her dealing with an undisclosed medical issue this past September. Ash had announced this past January that she had been cleared for an in-ring return.
A recent episode of The Generation of Wrestling podcast featured Ash as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Ash providing an update on her current health and revealed that she has spent several days in the ICU during her time away from wrestling due to her “medical mystery” situation.
“I’m still going through it, which is crazy. You don’t have to have an injury. What I’m going through is a health issue. A lot of people, especially in my situation, I don’t look sick. I feel good today, but tomorrow might not. So, it’s definitely a health issue.
My issue is weird. They call it like a medical mystery. I’ve done so many things, I spent numerous days in the ICU that nobody really knows about because I haven’t put that out there yet until I honestly can find out really what this is. We’re on a good track now.
In the beginning, what had happened that kind of forced me into retirement has trickled now into this, and it’s kind of all adding up to being this one diagnosis. I’m just not going to say it yet until it’s really out there.
I’m good to wrestle, it’s just sometimes it’s difficult because my body kind of goes a little wonky.”

In a follow-up tweet, Michinoku stated that he had suffered a concussion injury and revealed he was still able to wrestle the next day.
“Last night, concussion from a traffic accident. If I take a second impact with the same force right away, the mortality rate jumps by 50-70% A blow to the head can be fatal—it’s a literal life-or-death battle. Kill or be killed. Lure them into targeting my legs to avoid strikes to the head. Let them go for the legs, create an opening, and finish with a throw I’d never normally use. I hope the meaning of this technique comes across”
